Sixty-four days…
I’ve told you before how much I love the fall season. Everything pumpkin, from desserts to decorations, makes me smile. But, do you know what? I haven’t put up one fall decoration this year! Not one! I haven’t even put up my wreath on the front door. I feel horrible about it. What kind of a homemaker am I? Like the sign in my kitchen says, “Martha Stewart doesn’t live here.” That ain’t no lie! (How do you like that English?)
Have you ever had a time in your life where you are juggling tons of different things? You seem to be keeping up quite well, then you try making room for one more thing on your plate and before you know it, things start falling. I’m there right now. I LOVE this blog, but since I’ve started taking time to write something every single day, I’m juggling fast and furious while dropping some things. Often when I go to bed at night I say to my husband, “I sure hope the maid comes tomorrow!” I’m the maid, so good luck with that happening.
Yes, the laundry is Everest, my floors need mopped, and I don’t have one single solitary fall decoration in my house. But you know what? It’s okay. The reason it’s okay is because I’m connecting with people I would have normally never connected with before. It’s all because of this blog! I’m enjoying it! God is good!
I am cooking Thanksgiving dinner at my home, but I’m more in the Christmas mood anyway. I’m actually thinking of putting my maid’s hat on, cleaning this house, and pulling out a tree today! Now… if you will excuse me, I need to head directly to the coffee pot. I need some extra caffeine to fuel this ambition.
