Sixty-one days…
Psalm 5:11
But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You; Let them ever shout for joy, because You defend them; Let those also who love Your name be joyful in You.
With Thanksgiving Day right around the corner, most of us will be spending some time reflecting on our blessings. I’ve been speaking continually about trusting in God. I have tried to stress how important it is to allow Him to be your comfort. In Psalm 5, David says, “Let all those rejoice who put their trust in You…” If you have been practicing the concept of trusting in God, then rejoice! Shout for joy! He defends us!
Regardless of what problematic issues we might be facing, let each of us work on finding a blessing for which to be thankful. We are a society extremely focused on “things.” We all want more “toys” and crave entertainment. Some of us are fortunate enough to acquire such things. Some of us are not. However, we all have One very important reason to be thankful. It’s something we all can afford, because He already paid the price.
Let’s put aside monetary reasons to be thankful, and rejoice in the name we love. Declare joy this week; His name is Jesus!
