Forty-two days…
Happy Sunday! I’m sure many of you are going to do exactly what I am going to do today. After church, I will be continuing my preparations for Christmas. Throughout the crazy busy malls where crowds of people dash from store to store in hopes of finding the perfect gift for their special someone, there are many grumpy and frustrated people. However, no matter how stressed I feel, there are certain benefits to the madness that deliver joy to my sometimes impatient, moody, “Get out of my way, people!” attitudes. Christmas music, declaring the beautiful name of Jesus and His priceless worth, sounds throughout the air everywhere I go. It brings me peace. People are being ministered to constantly through the message of the birth of Christ, and most of them don’t have a clue. I love it! If you are out shopping today, regardless of how much stress is attached to the task, stop and listen. You will most likely hear a joyful sound assisting in bringing you complete peace. Hope was born on Christmas Day!
The words of praise uttered from the lips of Mary are some of my favorite…
Luke 1:46-47
And Mary said:
“My soul magnifies the Lord, and my spirit has rejoiced in God my Savior.”
