Twenty-six days…
Christmas came and went. It was joyful and sometimes overwhelming, but I am thankful for all my blessings. Now we have one week until we move into a brand new year. Every year at this time I ask the Lord for a new scripture to stand on for the year to come. This week I am again diligently seeking His word for a passage which will speak into my life for the upcoming year.
As we step into the year 2013, I stand confident we will find ourselves amongst new opportunity and new hope. I want to encourage each of you to search for a scripture within your Bible to memorize for the New Year. Pray about it first. Allow God to guide you as you seek Him. Sometimes God speaks a word to my heart and directs me. A couple of years ago the Lord kept leading me toward scriptures using the word “patience.” Hmmm… what was God trying to show me?
This week my prayer for you is that you will spend some time alone with your Bible in the presence of the Lord. I pray you seek Him for a new word and a brand new hope to accompany you in 2013. I’m looking forward to all God is going to do. He is a great God with an amazing plan!
