Twenty-four days…

I almost don’t know what to do with myself.  My holiday responsibilities have diminished, and my stress level is practically at zero.  I’m feeling more like myself again.  Christmas was wonderful, but I’m excited to move into the New Year.

I’m believing 2013 will prove itself full of exciting new beginnings and possibilities for all of us.  Yet, as much as I love the thought of new promise for my life, I adore the unchanging source of old from where the promise comes.  When I concentrate on new hope for my life, I open the written word and read the “old promises,” which were also a focus of those who have gone before me.

1 John 2: 7-8

Brethren, I write no new commandment to you, but an old commandment which you have had from the beginning.  The old commandment is the word which you heard from the beginning.  Again, a new commandment I write to you, which thing is true in Him and in you, because the darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining.  (N.K.J.V.)

“The darkness is passing away, and the true light is already shining.”  Those are words full of hope and promise!  Today I’m praying the will of God over each one of you.  My hope is that you will seek His ultimate will for your life and walk the path which He calls you to walk.  Be open to His ways and allow Godly desires to be the intent of your hearts.  Look to biblical truth with expectation of hope fulfilled.

Hold tight to His promises!  Have a wonderful day and be blessed!
