ID-100140684Today is Palm Sunday.  Palm Trees were among the earliest cultivated trees. They were symbolic of victory.  We all know the victory we would receive as a result of the death of our King would cause Him to suffer undeservedly – the perfect One paid the highest price for an imperfect people. I cannot begin to comprehend it.

Today many of us will flock to our churches singing lyrics with emphasis on the word Hosanna, which in the Hebrew literally means save now.

I pray it be the cry of every soul ~ save now

The prayer of every heart ~ save now

The hope of all who hurt ~ save now

There isn’t one walking this earth that does not need Jesus. There isn’t a person with breath who is beyond the reach of His grace. But our hearts must cry ~ save now.

Jesus will save you right where you are.  Ask for His forgiveness, call on His mercy, and cry out for His grace.  Let the cry of your heart be… save now.

Matthew 21:9

Then the multitudes who went before and those who followed cried out, saying:

“Hosanna to the Son of David! Blessed is He who comes in the name of the Lord! Hosanna in the highest!” (N.K.J.V.)

Today, if you have the opportunity to see or touch pieces of palm, remember victory, remember the price paid for that victory, remember to make the cry of your heart ~ save now
