Picture for Blog PostTonight, we were brave. We took three, four year old children miniature golfing.

However, after about 9 holes we decided to implement the art of distraction (some might call it trickery) into our plan by saying, “Look at the cool waterfall!” and “What flavor Ice cream do you want to get when we are done?” while discreetly skipping from hole 9 to hole 18 without one of them noticing.

(I’m not sure we are headed for the gifted program anytime soon.) I could see the begging looks in the eyes of the people waiting behind us. And, after all, I did just write a book about mercy, so I thought it would be a good idea to extend some.

Well, I must admit, I needed mercy too. I was thinking that if we made it that far without anyone getting knocked out by a golf club, then why push it?

And that is how I celebrated the release of my eBook Mercy Waits! Because what is better than an evening of dodging golf clubs and watching everyone else eat ice cream while I’m wearing new stretchy jeans, (one size larger) because I have eaten entirely too much ice cream over the summer?

Today, I just want to sincerely thank everyone who has been sharing about the book and blog on social media. You are all amazing!!!  God is allowing me to share my heart. He has turned what was once deep pain into a passion to pursue His calling in my life. I know He is working in your life also, and I can’t wait to hear about it. I have an idea about how you can share your stories with me as well! I’m going to post about that next week!

Thursday, I have a guest post coming out on (In)courage! I will provide you with a link to that tomorrow.

Proverbs 3:3

Let not mercy and truth forsake you; bind them around your neck, write them on the tablet of your heart. (N.K.J.V.)

Be blessed, beautiful people!

Love,

Jennifer
