Sometimes only stillness can settle the suffering soul.
Be still, and know that I am God;
I will be exalted among the nations,
I will be exalted in the earth!
– Psalm 46:10 (NKJV)
At times in the middle of battle, we need to stop. This doesn’t mean giving up. It means that there are moments during a struggle when we need to silence the noise within us, including our own petitions to God, and just listen.
Eventually I decided that, every night as I drifted off to sleep, I would offer quiet thanks and praise. It soothed me, and without the noise of my own desperate cries of concern for my victory, I allowed Christ to speak to my soul.
Taking time to be still is healing. God says in Psalm 46, “I will be exalted among the nations. I will be exalted in the earth!”
That includes our battlefields. He expects to be exalted there as well.
Take some time today to practice stillness and exalt Him right where you are.
Love,
Jennifer

Oh YES friend! Stillness is so necessary during times of struggle. It helps us to hear Him more clearly and get a new perspective. Have a blessed weekend.
Dear Jennifer
Isn’t it amazing how even that peace and stillness is a gift that our Pappa whispers into our hearts! And like you have said, we only need to wait quietly on Him! The other day I was really overwhelmed with truly excruciating Fibro pain and I just turned around and asked Jesus to still the raging storm in my heart. Jennifer, it was amazing how His peace immediately settled over and in me!
