Today, I’m linking up with Crystal Stine for Behind the Scenes and telling the story of my very brave and obedient friends!
So many of us take what we have for granted. I know I’m guilty. This Christmas, as every year, I’ve overbought for my children, purchased extra decorations, and splurged over and over again all in the name of Black Friday and red tag sales.
And as I sit in my cozy, leather, chair in the soft glow of lights reflecting from my Christmas tree, there are people all over the world in need. I have friends who are in the trenches battling for these people. They are on the front lines in Thailand working to give women and children who have HIV/Aids a place to live.
It’s Christmastime, and in the middle of Pattaya, Thailand stands a small home for women and their children who are battling HIV/AIDS. My missionary friends, Bill and Joanna Samuels, are turning people away because there is literally “no room in the inn.” They need to raise $5,000.00 to build an adequate space to afford these beautiful and suffering women and children a place to eat and rest their weary heads.
Can you help?
If you knew how my friends Bill and Joanna Samuels give their lives away for the cause of Christ, you would be amazed. They fight sex trafficking, Feed and mentor inside prison walls, minister to transgender individuals, support women and children with HIV/AIDS, and have 4 children of their own. My short list hasn’t even scratched the surface of what they do. And they can’t do it alone.

Times like this are when I wish I were a millionaire and could give. However, what I can offer is prayers. I lift up your friends and their mission in my prayers.
Thank you, Amy! Praying for someone in need is a wonderful gift. I sincerely
appreciate your prayers for them.
Same here, Amy and Jennifer. I hate to hear about people suffering and have to be turned away. We’ll definitely be praying. Thanks for sharing, Jennifer.
Thank you for sharing this amazing couple and their ministry!
