Recently, I’ve been thinking about how the broken pieces of our lives can either turn into dangerous debris, or unique works of art.
How we see the shattered segments is up to us.
We can look around and focus on the wrecked images of our lives, or we can hold fast to the hope of restoration.
Hope is what will conquer fear. Hope is what will move us forward through trials and tribulations. Hope is what will shine light in the darkest places we’ve ever been.
When we have hope, we have all we need. (Tweet that.)
I know it probably doesn’t feel that way. If you are facing a trial you may be suffering exhaustion, depression, anxiety, and fear. You might be wondering if joy will ever return. You might not remember what it feels like to hope.
Here is the good news: The Hope I’m speaking of isn’t a feeling, so you don’t have to remember what it felt like. You just have to make the choice that it exists and that your circumstances will change. Most of the time, changing our perspective opens the door to hope.
Fling the door to hope wide, friends! I want to be honest with you… If you don’t have hope, you could lose the battle. However, if you hold hope tight, you’ve already won. Jesus is Hope. He has already declared the victory. Holding tight to His hope will allow you to begin to visualize it. Hope will cause you to breathe again. By believing in Him and opening the door to your heart, you are allowing the King to take over the fight on the battlefield. And He wins every time!
You are more than a conqueror because you serve Christ who is the King! You are victorious because He already won the victory when He died and rose again. The work has been done, you just need to believe, have hope, put one foot in front of the other, and allow your life to be His beautiful work of art.
Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.
-Romans 8:37
Fling it wide, friends! Open the door to hope!
Have a beautiful weekend,
Love,
Jennifer
