bracelet photoHi friends. It is  so amazing how God works. Deep down in the mystery of everything, He breathes life. I can’t tell you how often I’ve needed reminded of who He is over these past weeks. Together, His life and breath is a beautiful representation of hope. Every day since July 16th has been a struggle. I’ve been holding tightly to hope. And more importantly, I’ve been constantly reminded that Jesus is the ONLY hope.

My friend, Christin Ditchfield, is a successful author, speaker, and radio host. Her most recent book is entitled, What Women Should Know About Facing Fear. I met her last year through what I like to call a divine appointment at the Allume Conference. She encouraged me greatly through the final process of publishing my own book, Nothing to Hold but Hope. And, she’s speaking at The Mercy Retreat!

A couple months ago, Christin asked me to guest post on her blog. I wrote my piece and sent it to her without any inkling that my life was going to turn upside down. When I reread the post this evening, I couldn’t believe how the Lord spoke to me through it.

He NEVER fails. He gives us exactly what we need when we need it. I’m so honored to be sharing over at Christin’s online space today. Below is a teaser of my post. To read it in its entirety, click the link at the bottom.

Be blessed, sweet friends.

Love,

Jennifer

Hope: it’s like the wind that carries us. We can’t see it, yet it pushes us ahead. We put one foot in front of the other through hurt, pain, fear, and anxiety. Why? Because hope turns scared into sacred and whispers the promise of new mercy in the morning. Hope breathes the promise of whole.

We all want to be whole.

But here’s the thing: being whole doesn’t mean we won’t have scars. It doesn’t mean we won’t come out of a wrestling match with God or struggles of life unscathed. We might walk away with a limp like Jacob (see Genesis 32). However, I promise you this: if we learn to trust the Lord of heaven and earth through the process, the limp will give Him glory and make us whole…

Join me over at Christin’s to finish the post!
