This morning, my husband spoke words of wisdom over me as he prayed. If you ask me next year, next month, or even next week exactly what he said, I might not remember. However, I can tell you what I won’t soon forget: his love.
The Lord blessed me with a man who stands in the gap for me. He approaches the throne of grace with my name on his lips. I don’t ever want to take that for granted. I might not remember every word spoken, but I will always remember the sincere praise he gives for this mighty, faithful, mysterious God we serve.
And I need to see Him in the midst of the mystery…
I want to see Jesus in everything. I don’t only want to see Him inside the joy but also inside the pain. I want to know He IS all and that He’s IN all. And that takes not only work, but often a weeding out of certain theology. Like it or not, trials and tribulations are usually part of the plan. To see Jesus inside the most difficult moments takes spiritual maturity. We learn it. It doesn’t happen in an instant. It’s trial by fire and testing of faith which leads us to an awakening of the soul that allows our eyes to see His goodness in ALL things. The more we choose to love Him through tears, the faster our eyes will open to the goodness of the Lord in the land of the living.
I’m praying for you. I don’t know your name, but God does. I’m approaching the throne of grace asking that you will see Jesus in EVERYTHING. If you don’t have someone to stand in the gap for you, I want you to know that, today, I will. I am dedicating this day to lifting you up in prayer. May you learn to see Christ inside every moment because of your faithfulness to seek Him with your whole heart…
Love,
Jennifer
