Dear Friends,
Last October, I took part in a 31 day blogging adventure. It was a writing challenge that The Nester initiated on her blog. I entitled my series, 31 Days to Surviving the Battle. The picture and quote above is from that series. If you’re interested, you can check it out here. This year, I’m doing it again. I’ve been working on something new, which I’ve titled, What Makes You Beautiful?
I’m really hoping this series will spark conversation and cause us to get to know each other a little bit better. I’m looking forward to hearing if you connect with this topic, and how it might relate to how you feel about yourself.
I will be posting the winners of my second anniversary giveaway on Monday, but other than that, you won’t hear from me regularly until October 1st. I am busy writing and finishing up this series.
And, since I’m not quite finished, I would like to ask if there is anything you would like to hear about regarding the topic beautiful? How do you identify with the word beautiful? What does it mean to you? And finally, do you consider yourself beautiful? Why, or why not? I would love to see some bold and brave answers in the comment section! Answer whatever comes to your mind and is in your heart! Your words are welcome here!
Talk soon!
Love,
Jennifer
When I hear beautiful – My thoughts go to picturing a sunset, birth of a baby, the never end of the ocean waves, purity of the first snowfall and seeing smiles on the face of my grandchildren. Me personally feeling beautiful – In my Heavenly Father’s eyes I know I am beautiful to Him. He made me and in Him there are no mistakes. I feel beautiful when my husband looks at me and smiles with his eyes lighting up. When I look in the mirror it is a reflection of work in progress. Thanking JESUS for never giving up on me.
When I think of beauty it’s all about the exterior. I know the “correct” answer includes something about the person you are inside etc etc, but I’ve never seen it that way. Do I think I’m beautiful? Given the right amount of make-up, highlights, straightening, plucking, tanning and flattering lighting…yeah kinda.
