Twenty-nine days…
John 16:33
These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.”
He did it; according to His word, He overcame the world. He died for our sin, for our heartache, and for any agony we may face on this earth. He is honest when He communicates to us that it won’t be easy. But, He provides comfort by reminding us of His unending faithfulness through His death and resurrection. As we walk through these next couple of days trying to finish everything we need to do for our family Christmases, let us remember why He came. He came to overcome this world of evil and to bring peace and good cheer.
My last few days have been insanely busy. I’m so glad I stumbled across this verse. I needed the reminder. He did it; He overcame the world!
