Ephesians 3:19-21

to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God

Now to Him who is able to do exceedingly abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that works in us, to Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus to all generations, forever and ever. Amen. (N.K.J.V.)

I’m a big believer that God places dreams in our hearts. They are nuggets of hope meant to nourish our souls. These dreams cause us to press into Him in a brand new way while working to pursue new adventures.

Sometimes we cannot rid our thoughts of certain dreams. Years later, we are still climbing what seems like the tallest mountain ever and find ourselves no higher than we were originally. I actually had a dream I asked the Lord to take away, because I didn’t think I would ever see it as a reality. Every moment was a fight, and I was tired of fighting. He refused to erase it from my heart, and I am so thankful. After fifteen years the dream was realized.

Let me tell you something… if God has placed a dream in your heart and it is a godly desire, then He will give you the strength to keep fighting. Don’t lean on your strength, lean on His.

  • Imagine if we had the confidence in Christ to never give up…
  • Imagine if we believed we could do what Christ knows we can…
  • Imagine if we looked to Him for guidance instead of trying to control our own situations…

Oftentimes, in the above scripture we focus on the “able to do exceedingly and abundantly above all we ask or think” segment. However, if you look at the verse before you will see the key to what gives us the sustaining ability throughout our seasons of waiting. The key is, “to know the love of Christ which passes knowledge that you may be filled with all the fullness of God”

If we can grasp only His love, then we can stop thinking so much about where we are on the mountain, and just believe He is able to get us where we need to go in His time…

Today’s post is for Lisa-Jo Baker’s Five Minute Friday. (I think I spent twelve. Oops…)
