When you are battling the days can be long. They fade from light to dark without much notice. Weary and bruised hearts echo the need for rest.

Psalm 3:5

I lay down and slept; I awoke, for the Lord sustained me. (N.K.J.V.)

Regardless of what the day may hold, when we awaken, it is a gift. A new day is wrapped in mercy and it feeds our souls. Hope continues.

In the days after losing our stillborn daughter, Courtney, I would open my eyes in the morning and for a brief second everything seemed right with the world. And then I remembered. All of the hardship, heartache, and disappointment came flooding back. The battle raged on, but He sustained me. I had to keep fighting. God wanted to use me. I needed to be willing to allow him.

The battle is worth it, because you are worth it!

In the middle of the deepest sorrow there is treasure to be found. (Tweet that)

He has planted it there and it is yours for the taking. You have to dig for it. Deep.  Keep going. Keep pressing on. It isn’t easy to find, but when you do the value will be greater than gold.  It is eternal. It was planned for you before time began and meant for ONLY YOU to discover.

So, continue to battle today knowing that God is for you. HE IS. The world can be laced with pain and sorrow, but God is sovereign and YOU belong to Him…

Whether we feel it or not, mercy comes in the morning. And it serves to sustain us in the midst of the battle.

Love,

Jennifer
