After you get a glimmer of the beauty that we discussed yesterday, a transformation occurs – you resolve to survive.
Everything we’ve talked about throughout the past twelve days can be wrapped up in a package of intentional choices. We must choose to carry on. Better than that, we must choose to obtain victory!
Rise, take your journey, and cross over the River Arnon.
Look, I have given into your hand Sihon the Amorite, king of Heshbon, and his land.
Begin to possess it, and engage him in battle.
– Deuteronomy 2:24 (NKJV)
The Lord told Joshua that He was giving him the land, but Joshua still had to battle for it. Let me tell you something: your victory will be worth every battle you fight.
I wish you didn’t have to fight it. I know it hurts and even seems beyond repair. With God, though, nothing is beyond repair. All things are possible (Matthew 19:26). You can rediscover joy and win your battle. You just need to allow Him to work on your wounds.
Like a bandage, we need to cover our wounds with the power of Christ. Through the power of His Word and promises, you can be healed!
The theme scripture for my life is Joshua 1:9. I’ve memorized it and I try to put it to work in my life every day. The words in that scripture represent survival to me.
What represents survival to you?
Dear Jennifer
Oh, I think the greatest enemy we have to battle is the King called Self. He is a tough fellow and we need to fight against him time and time again!

Choosing to obtain the victory, even before it is in sight is powerful. The scripture I cling to when I am going through is Psalm 27:13, “I remain confident of this: I will see the goodness of the LORD in the land of the living.”
