Hope endures.
Now hope does not disappoint,
because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts
by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.
– Romans 5:5 (NKJV)
Hope does not disappoint! Somebody shout!
We live in a world where we are used to constant disappointment. Nothing is sure – except Jesus. He is the one true, sure hope! And He has given us a helpmate, the Holy Spirit.
Once we accept Christ, the Holy Spirit then dwells within us. He is our guide. He is part of the trinity, three in one – Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
The love of God has been poured into our hearts. Imagine grabbing your watering can, filling it up, and watering your flowers. His love flows straight in our hearts just like that water, except that it never ends, never runs dry, and never fails to provide every nutrient we need to grow.
Hope brings endurance and you need it to survive the battle!
Hold tight to hope today!
Love,
Jennifer

Dear Jennifer
What I just love about the way our Pappa works is how He fills our hearts with His love to the overflow until it spills over to those around us. And the more it flows to others, the more He fills us again and again. There is never a shortage!

I was on a trail run in the rain yesterday evening. I was planning on going to church and mens group. The truth is I didn’t want to go. I was feeling drained, physically, mentally and spiritually. A thought came to my mind while I was standing in the rain. “You came this far, don’t stop now, you can endure.” This got me through the next hour. I got to the gym and my time was short. I was thinking of every excuse not to go to church. As I was about to pass the church on my way home one of the blogs you wrote a few days back popped in my mind. You described going to church whenever the doors were open every chance you got. Then I thought if I could drag myself out of bed to train for an ironman I could drag myself to church. As I was walking towards the doors I said, “God you know I don’t want to walk in but I’m going to. Please meet in there.” He was faithful. He met me. We spoke about how the Holy Spirit is in us and guides us. Then I wake up and read your blog about hope and the Holy Spirit. I’m refreshed…
Thank you for blog it has been a blessing to me. 🙂
