As we rapidly come to a close on this 31 day series, the one constant theme throughout is pressing into Christ. He is the victor. Victory can only be found in and through Him.

There isn’t an easy way to fight the battle. We can say and do all the right things, but no matter what, it will still hurt. The heart aches and the soul seems to die a little when we are forced to wage war every single day on the same battlefield.

I’ve been studying the book of Colossians, and my eyes have opened to something beautiful. For me the following words served as a simple reminder.

As you therefore have received Christ Jesus the Lord,
so walk in Him, rooted and built up in Him and established in the faith,
as you have been taught abounding in it with thanksgiving.

Colossians 2:6-7 (NKJV)

These scriptures seemed to cry out to me. Three thoughts entered my mind:

  1. If I’ve truly received Him then I need to walk in Him.  Even though the finish line seems to be a million miles ahead, I need to continue walking.
  2. I know what I believe, so I need my faith to abound.  With all my heart I believe in Christ and every written word in the Bible. I have plenty of examples to follow, and I need to actively pursue a closer relationship with Him. Regardless of my pain and how hard the battle is, I must make the pursuit of all He is my number one goal.
  3. Be thankful in the midst of the struggle.  I’m not going to tell you that I thanked God my baby died, but I did learn to thank Him for His plan over my life. I had to start looking at the big picture. His ultimate design for my life is bigger than just that battle. Even when I’m a hot mess, He’s got it under control.

When you walk with Him, believe in Him, and thank Him for His divine intervention in your life, you ultimately will end up victorious. I don’t know how or when, but I do know that it will be His gift to you. He made victory possible when He was nailed to the cross.

Victory is the gift of His grace. (Tweet that.)

Continue to pursue Christ and His plan for you.

When you actively pursue the Victor, He gives you the victory. (Hey, you can tweet that also!)

I’m praying for you today. God bless you!

Love,

Jennifer
