Today is Five Minute Friday with Lisa-Jo Baker and an amazing group of brave writers who push fears aside to write for five minutes on one topic with zero editing.
Today, the prompt is the word grace.
Go:
Ephesians 1:22-23
And He put all things under His feet, and gave Him to be head over all things to the church, 23 which is His body, the fullness of Him who fills all in all.
And those words above, they are grace – dripped down bitter-sweet from a Father who gave His Only Son so that we can have an inheritance in Him.
So that He can fill us full.
So that we can be whole, full of life and love.
And when we believe and accept who He is, then we are sealed with His Holy Spirit and have a responsibility to let our grace flow.
To the one who spoke unkindly to you – grace
To the one who unfriended you on social media- grace
To the inconsiderate husband or child – grace
And to every situation that makes your heart break a little more each day – grace
When we allow our grace to spill out, He fills us back up.
To show grace is to show Christ working in your life. It’s beautiful and you were created beautifully in His image.
You were made to receive grace from the Father and then to give it back and share it with others.
Over and over again made empty to be refilled with all He intended for us.
Hope lives inside grace.
Wounds are healed when grace is washed over them.
Remember grace, sweet friends.
Happy Friday!
Love,
Jennifer

Dear Jennifer
Oh, this is so important! We cannot give what we don’t have. But if we allow our Pappa to fill us to the overflow with His grace, it will quite naturally flow over to those around us. And as it flows, He fills us again and again.

Yes, Mia. We need to allow Him to fill us up. Thank you for reading, friend!
Sweet Jennifer… I love this and so enjoyed our time together at Allume!
Thank you, Karrilee! Me too! It was wonderful getting to know you!
Yes to this: “To show grace is to show Christ working in your life.” I agree so deeply. We can’t give grace from our own well unless Christ is filling us up. Grace is so needed in this world of platforming and arguing and competing. If Christians did this better, oh how Christ could be seen…
Beautiful reflection.
Hopping over from everydayawe.com for Five Minute Friday.
I love how you point out that the verse in Ephesians is grace. If a scripture doesn’t contain the word we often miss that it’s grace. The Bible is chock full of it, isn’t it? Such insightful inspiration you have here. Thanks for your contribution.
Love as always Jennifer!! Your words have been the grace at times to keep me hoping and knowing that sometimes the answers delay, but God is still God. Thankful for you!!
