MexicoBeach_aGirlOnTheDoorstepHave you ever had a day when you wondered how in the world God was going to take care of a specific situation? Have you questioned Him while throwing your hands up in the air with disbelief? Yeah, me too…

We’ve had some pretty large issues on our plate around here lately, and I’m wondering what God is going to do through it. In all my years, if I have learned anything, I have learned to trust Him. I know He has a plan, but I still find myself interested in the “how” of it all. I know He will, I just don’t know how. And I’m pretty sure He’s telling me not to worry about it. He has it under control.

In 2012 God showed me something beautiful through the Story of Noah, and I ended up writing a blog about it. I entitled it, And the Lord Shut Him In. I want to revisit a small part of it today.

So those that entered, male and female of all flesh, went in as God had commanded him; and the Lord shut him in

-Genesis 7:16

When God told Noah to build the ark, He promised him life. Noah and his family were provided safety through the raging storm. God didn’t promise Noah it would be easy, but He did promise Him protection. The waters raged all around Him, but they lived. And what an awesome testimony he gained!

The physical hand of God actually shut Noah and his family in that ark. And His hand will shut you into a safe place as well.

No matter how bleak your circumstances look right now, He will shut you inside a safe place. His hand will cover you and His mercy will rain all over you.

You will make it through the storm, because when you call on Him, He WILL shut you in!

I would have lost heart, unless I had believed that I would see the goodness of the Lord In the land of the living.

-Psalm 27:13
