In an effort to go over every last detail of my book with a fine-toothed comb, I’ve been reading it over and over again. I’ve searched it backwards and forwards and every which way I can, as to make sure it is the finest product possible. Eek, did I just say product? Yuck.
I obviously have a responsibility to put my best foot forward, but I want you to know that this is more than just a book, it’s a ministry tool. I wrote it for the purpose of reaching others who need help. There are so many women who are struggling just to get out of bed each day. I know because I was one of those women. And truth be told, sometimes, I still am…
If you are one who bravely rolls back the blankets each morning and puts your feet on the floor regardless of what kind of grief you are facing … then this book is for you. Yes, you.
And if you are one who feels as if those blankets weigh a thousand pounds and you just can’t do it everyday, you are still brave, and this book is for you, too.
Here are some facts:
Medical professionals estimate that one in every four pregnancies end in miscarriage. There are some studies that show us it could be as high as one in three. And if you count losses which occur before a missed period, we could be dealing with a 40% overall loss of pregnancies. This information tells me that even though you may not have experienced a miscarriage yourself, you more than likely know someone who has. (Hope Exchange Statistics)
I also want to communicate that the hand of grief touches us all in many different ways. Not one of us has escaped pain of some sort. Even if you cannot relate specifically to the grief I faced, I believe you will still find comfort in some of the words I’ve shared. You see, I’ve already lived it. The trial and error has already occurred in my own life. I share what I did wrong and more importantly, what the Lord made right. He showed His abundant mercy regardless of my mistakes.
There is also another perspective you can take from this book: If you’ve never experienced pregnancy loss or infertility but know someone who is grieving from it, then it is important to take some time to think about how and what to say to them. Everyone just wants to help. Hopefully, my book will give you a better perspective on how to speak in love to a wounded heart.
This book is for women everywhere. I lived and breathed this story, and I cannot wait to share it with you.
I’ve received some beautiful words of encouragement and messages from those who want to help promote the book on social media. If you want to help, here is what you can do:
In a few days, there will be a book trailer on the blog as well as a Nothing to Hold but Hope page. You will be able to share that video with the link on your social media outlets and you can even ask others to share it as well. You can also use the hashtag #nothingtoholdbuthope on Twitter and Instagram. I will also be circulating some pictures with endorsements I’ve received from other authors such as Holley Gerth and Christin Ditchfield; you can share those as well.
I would appreciate your kindness and generosity through sharing. This is a huge step for me, and I know Jesus has guided every step I’ve taken thus far.
You are amazing! Continue to hold tight to hope, friends!
Love,
Jennifer
